Parish Center
The Parish Center was designed for flexibility. The Property Committee suggests the following guidelines for the use of the building:
- Its principal use is for parish needs and functions. For example, Sunday coffee, committee meetings, youth ministry gatherings, and religious education meetings are regular parish functions in the Center.
- When possible, it is available to nonprofit community groups. For example, an AA group uses it every Wednesday evening.
- It is available for the individual use of parishioners. For example, it is often used following a funeral or for a shower or anniversary celebration.
- It is not available for wedding receptions.
The center is never rented out. For non-parish functions, a security deposit is required to secure the facility and to guarantee its proper use. If the Center is left as clean as it was found, the deposit is returned, or more frequently the deposit is contributed to the Parish Youth Scholarship Fund.
